How Player Fundraising Works
At the Outlaws, we offer a parent-led fundraising approach that provides families with flexibility and control over their fundraising efforts. Here's how it works:
-
Parent-Led Initiatives: Parents organize and decide the type and timing of fundraisers that work best for their schedules and communities. This allows for creativity and customization in fundraising efforts.
-
Shared Success: All parents and athletes who participate in a specific fundraiser share equally in the funds raised. The proceeds are divided among the participating athletes, and the amounts are credited to their individual Athlete Accounts.
-
Athlete Account Credits: Funds raised by an athlete go toward reimbursing the seasonal cost ($1800). For example, if an athlete participates in a fundraiser that generates $500 per participant, $500 will be credited to their account (minus taxes & fees) and reimbursed to the athlete at the end of the season.
-
Exceeding the Goal: If an athlete raises more than the ($1800) seasonal cost, any excess funds will be redirected to support one of the Outlaw community funds, such as:
-
The Equipment Fund for gear and tools.
-
The Outlaw Financial Assistance Fund (OFAF) to help other athletes afford the season.
-
The Future Outlaw Facility Fund to support the development of our own practice facility.
-
This model ensures fairness, transparency, and collective support while empowering families to contribute to their athletes' success.
